When does ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE release?
The game launches on October 1, 2026 in the Americas and October 2, 2026 in most other regions, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). The Deluxe Edition includes three days of early access, which begins September 28, 2026 at 3:00 PM PDT.
How much does ACE COMBAT 8 cost?
The Steam listing prices the Standard Edition at $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $89.99. Deluxe adds a customizable cosmetic set, a Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher and three-day early access. Pre-orders include the F-14A aircraft and a Steam version of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.
What is the story about?
Set in the series' Strangereal world, the campaign depicts the 2029 Sotoa-Usea War. You play the silent weapon systems officer of Jan "Rex" Cope — an FCU naval aviator branded the "Wings of Theve" by wartime propaganda — and take up his identity after he is killed in action, leading Joker Flight from the carrier FCU Endurance.
Who is Tasha in ACE COMBAT 8?
Tasha Severskaya is one of your three Joker Flight wingmen, alongside William "Noise" Coster and Ellington "Professor" Baxter. She flies an F-2A in the sortie screenshots released so far, and the squadron radio uses her call sign during missions.
How many aircraft are in the game?
Project ACES has confirmed 30+ aircraft at launch, split into four classes, with two special weapon slots per loadout. Confirmed airframes include the F/A-18C and F/A-18E, F-14A and F-14D, F-2A, F-22A, Eurofighter Typhoon, Su-57, F-35 and the fictional Morgan from the Premium Ace Pass Plus.
Does ACE COMBAT 8 have multiplayer?
Yes. ACE COMBAT ONLINE is the franchise's largest online mode and its first true online lobby: you walk around an air base with a custom avatar, then sortie into Co-Op and PvP modes with pilots on other platforms, thanks to full cross-platform play.
